High Severe Thunderstorm Risk Sunday; Damaging Winds, Hail & A Few Tornadoes Possible

        It has been several months since we have had an ideal setup for widespread severe thunderstorms. You have to look all the way back to Late February or even last year. Sunday will bring the potential for widespread severe storms carrying the threat of damaging winds, large hail, and even a few tornadoes. What is this caused by?

        On Sunday, a low pressure system will move over the Eastern Great Lakes. This partnered with impressive wind shear and CAPE levels exceeding 2,000 J/kg, along with strong lift will create an ideal severe storm setup for Pennsylvania. We are especially focusing on Central and Eastern PA, as these areas are at the highest risk.
