Good morning everyone, Wow! What a night last night in Texas. We had tornadoes, large hail and a destructive wind storm move through the Houston area killing 4 and doing a lot of damage. Now we look ahead for the weekend with more severe weather.

An active weekend of severe weather starts today in the Northern Plains and the Southeastern US. 

Large hail, damaging winds, heavy rains for the Northern Plains today. Then another round of large hail, tornadoes and damaging winds in the Southeastern US. Please see SPC threat map below.

 

HRRR Future Radar for Friday 

A line of storms will start in Montana and move into the Dakotas later today. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats.

A slight chance of severe weather on Sunday for the Plains.

All modes of severe weather will be moving through the Plains on Sunday. 

As a front pushing into the plains, severe weather will be moving into NE,KS,IA and OK.
