Plan on a very hot and humid Labor Day as temperatures in many areas will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s with mostly sunny skies. There is the chance for some thunderstorm activity across the northwest third of the state this afternoon that could cause issues for outdoor activities. A line of fairly strong storms will likely push into these areas this afternoon into the early evening hours. These storms are expected to be quick hitting and it is also anticipated the line of storms will die out before it reaches the State College area. Also to note, Heat Advisories have been issued for Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs where the heat index could reach as high as 102 degrees.
