A clipper system will be impacting the state beginning late this evening through early tomorrow morning delivering widespread snow showers. Behind the clipper system, winds will increase along with the threat of powerful snow squalls. Below is a look at the latest radar:
Today’s Weather Forecast: 6/10
Increasing clouds today with widespread snow showers developing by the late evening hours across western Pennsylvania. Elsewhere, a stray snow shower is possible with temperatures generally in the 30s.
Thursday’s Weather Forecast: 3/10
Early morning snow showers is likely thanks to the clipper system that will be passing through the area. As the clipper system passes through, winds will increase along with the chances for dangerous snow squalls. Temperatures will only reach the 20s and 30s for highs.

Please give yourself extra time driving to work or wherever you need to be Thursday morning. Dangerous snow squalls are expected across the state. These snow squalls have the potential to produce brief whiteout conditions. Keep an extra eye on the radar as your neighborhood might be completely precipitation free, while the next neighborhood over is experiencing white out conditions.
While we expect the worst of the snow squalls to be during Thursday morning, isolated snow squalls will remain a possibility heading into the afternoon hours.
Friday’s Weather Forecast: 6/10
Friday’s weather will continue to be very cold with lake effect snow likely over northwestern Pennsylvania. Elsewhere a mix of clouds and sunshine can be expected with temperatures in the 20s and 30s across the state.
