While the precipitation from yesterday’s winter storm will completely taper off for all areas this morning, we will continue to feel its impacts for the next 36 hours. As the storm pushes away to our northeast, it will allow for very frigid temperatures to invade the area. We urge you to please checkup on your elderly family and friends throughout today and tomorrow. Please keep all pets indoors!

As this article is published, the cold temperatures have already crashed into Northwest Pennsylvania: Take a look at the 7:00 AM temperatures across Pennsylvania this morning: 

We have temperatures around 10 degrees in Northwest Pennsylvania and 50 degrees across Southeast Pennsylvania. An impressive temperature gradient this morning!

Temperatures will crash from northwest to southeast today. As the temperatures crash, winds will pick up in intensity. Take a look at the 1:00 PM temperatures for this afternoon: 

The only part of the state hanging onto the warmer temperatures is Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs. It will not take long for these areas temperatures to rapidly drop off as well. By this evening, actual temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 20s depending on your location throughout the state. Temperatures will bottom out tomorrow morning as many of us are waking up. Take a look at projected ACTUAL temperatures for 7:00 AM tomorrow morning: 

Widespread areas in the single digits as well as places in Northern Pennsylvania well below zero! Factoring in the wind, wind chill values will be absolutely brutal. Stay indoors as often as you can for the next two days. It does not take long for exposed skin to obtain frostbite in these conditions.

AREA A: Factoring in actual temperatures with gusty winds, bone-chilling real feel temperatures of negative 20 to negative 30 degrees can be expected at times this evening through the day Monday and into Monday night.

AREA B: Factoring in actual temperatures with gusty winds, bone-chilling real feel temperatures of negative 10 to negative 20 degrees can be expected at times this evening through the day Monday and into Monday night.

AREA C: Factoring in actual temperatures with gusty winds, bone-chilling real feel temperatures of zero to negative 10 degrees can be expected at times this evening through the day Monday and into Monday night.
