A clipper passing to our north drew milder air into our region today, with some of our southern valleys getting above 40 F!  That system’s cold front will deliver another round of arctic air to the region tonight, along with wind gusts 20-30mph and some snow showers.  Temperatures will be in the teens everywhere by morning.

TUESDAY

Tuesday will be quite blustery with gusts over 30mph and colder-than-normal temperatures.  The blustery west wind will stream snow showers from Lake Erie and across our northern counties.  That gusty wind will continue through Tuesday night, once again driving temperatures down into the teens overnight.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday will be another blustery day with wind gusts over 30 mph and below-normal temperatures.  The wind will be howling from the northwest, this time carrying snow showers from Lake Ontario southeastward into our northern counties.  Some places could get a light coating, but nothing significant is expected in our area.  If you are craving more snow, I recommend a quick drive northward to the Tug Hill of New York, where several feet of lake-effect snow will fall over the course of this week.

THURSDAY

Below-normal temperatures will continue on Thursday along with breezy conditions.   Another clipper system will pass by to our north, prolonging the opportunity for snow showers across our northern counties. Once again, nothing significant is expected, but some places could get a light coating.
