A Winter Storm will move through the area Sunday into Monday. Here’s what you can expect for timing, accumulations, and road impacts.
MAP FORECAST FOR APPROACHING WINTER STORM
Area A – Snow will move in from west to east Sunday Evening. It will then continue through Mid-Monday Morning before tapering off from west to east. Snow accumulation of 4-6″ is expected. Roads will be snow packed Monday Morning if not plowed.
Area B – Snow will move in from west to east Sunday Evening. Snow will then persist through dawn before changing to rain after sunrise. Only a short period of rain is expected. Snow accumulation of 2-4″ is expected. A slight coating of ice is also possible. Roads will be slushy Monday Monday.
Area C – Snow will enter the region Sunday Evening from west to east. It will then continue before changing over to rain just before dawn Monday. Snow accumulation of 1-2″ is expected with a slight coating of ice also possible. Roads will be slick Monday Morning.
Area D – Snow will move into the area Sunday Evening before changing over to freezing rain between 2-4 AM. Freezing rain will then switch to plain rain as temperatures rise to just above freezing around 5-7 AM. Snow accumulation of 1-2″ is expected along with .10-.20″ of ice accretion. Roads will be slick Monday Morning.
Area E – Snow will move into the area from west to east Sunday Evening before changing to rain around Midnight. Snow accumulation under an inch is expected. No travel impacts expected.
Area F – Snow will move into the area Sunday Evening before changing over to freezing rain around midnight. Temperatures will then warm above freezing just before sunrise. Snow accumulation of less than 1″ is expected along with .10-.20″ of ice accretion. Roads will be slick Monday Morning.
