Good afternoon! I hope you are having a great Thursday! There is currently a mix of sun and clouds across the area with temperatures in the low-60s, making for a pleasant afternoon. As we head into the weekend, changes will be coming as a coastal low impacts our weather on Friday and a newly-developing ridge will usher in a return of summer toward the end of the weekend and into next week. Read more below!

FRIDAY:

Expect scattered drizzle and light rain showers, especially during the morning and early-afternoon hours with mostly cloudy skies during the latter half of the afternoon and evening. Friday will not be quite a repeat of what we experienced last weekend and early this week. Expect high temperatures to reach the upper-60s for many locations and these temperatures may be bumped up a bit higher, depending on how much sun peeks through the clouds in the afternoon. Expect winds out of the north at 5 – 10 MPH.

FUTURE RADAR:

During the morning hours expect cloudy skies across the area with a few rain showers/drizzle in the higher coverage of cloud cover. Most areas should remain dry.

By the lunch hour, we may start to see a few breaks in the clouds across the region.

By the evening hours, much of the cloud cover may be moved out of the area making it a rather pleasant evening!

SATURDAY:

Friday’s clouds will be long gone in time for the start of the weekend on Saturday with high temperatures reaching the upper-6os to low-70s. Although this graphic does show rain icons for the southeastern portions of the region, it should be remain mostly dry with more clouds than anything. Expect a northerly wind of 5 -10 MPH.

SUNDAY:

Sunday will be an absolutely spectacular day with mostly sunny skies with temperatures reaching the upper-70s for many cities. Surely will be a sunny Sunday!

LOOKING AHEAD:

Looking at next week’s pattern, the upper-level environment will be very favorable for warmer air to move into our region. With this pattern in place,  a strong high pressure overhead will allow for sunny skies with temperatures reaching the upper-70s to lower-80s for Monday – Thursday of next week. If you are a lover of the summer heat, get outdoors and soak it in because changes will be coming as we head into the second week of October.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at anytime! Have a great weekend 🙂 !!!
