Precipitation chances will continue this week with widespread rain expected on Tuesday before transitioning to snow on Wednesday, along with a significant change in temperature on Thursday.
Tuesday
Mostly cloudy with a chance for patchy fog and rain. The best chances for rain will start in the afternoon hours and continue overnight. Highs will be in the mid to low 50s, lows will be in the low 40s. Winds will be out of the South at 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday
Rain is expected throughout the day before transitioning to snow in the late afternoon hours. Highs will be in the mid 40s to upper 30s, lows will be in the high to mid-teens. Winds will increase throughout the day; winds will be out of the West-Northwest at 6 to 15 mph, wind gusts could approach 25 mph in some areas. Snow accumulations of 1-2 inches are possible in the higher elevations.
Thursday
Lingering snow chances are possible in the morning hours before transitioning to mostly sunny and breezy conditions. Temperatures will be much cooler, highs will be in the mid to low 20s, lows will be near single digits. Winds will be out of the West at 15 to 20 mph, wind gusts could approach 35 mph.
