This week is expected to be active with multiple waves of low pressure impacting the state just in time for Thanksgiving. Before we get there, lets take a look at the latest satellite imagery:
Today’s Weather Forecast: 7/10
Temperatures today will generally be in the 50s state-wide. Isolated showers are possible, especially across Western Pennsylvania.
Tuesday’s Weather Forecast: 5/10
A low pressure system will bring a line of showers and even possibly a rumble of thunder during the first half of the day Tuesday. After the front pushes through, lake effect rain and snow showers are expected as temperatures will begin to quickly crash.
Wednesday’s Weather Forecast: 6/10
Temperatures will be cooler Wednesday with highs only reaching the upper 30s to middle 40s for most areas. Our next storm system will be approaching by late Wednesday evening, potentially producing a mix of rain and snow showers.
Looking into Thanksgiving Day:
We are keeping a close eye on a storm system that will likely be impacting the state late Wednesday into Thanksgiving Day. As of right now, model guidance is all over the place with this storm, so details will definitely need to be ironed out over the next day or so. We are fairly confident that much of the area will see at least rain Wednesday night into Thanksgiving, with locations north of I-80 having the best chance of seeing snowfall at least to start off before transitioning to rain. Keep it here for the latest!
