Widespread flash flooding impacted many areas yesterday and during the overnight hours. Most of the shower and thunderstorm activity has cleared out of the area. Below is a look at the latest radar:
Today’s Weather Forecast: 8/10
Temperatures today will be significantly cooler than previous days with most locations not escaping the 70s. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible.
Thursday’s Weather Forecast: 7/10
Thursday will be warm across western counties, elsewhere cool weather remains. The first round of showers and thunderstorms from Tropical Storm Debby remnants will impact the state.
Friday’s Weather Forecast: 1/10
Odds are increasing that Friday will be a washout across much of the state thanks to Tropical Storm Debby’s remnants. Latest model guidance suggests the heaviest of rains will be focused over central Pennsylvania. Regardless, more flooding is certainly likely during the day Friday.

Looking at the Hi-Res NAM future radar below, the first round of showers and thunderstorms will arrive Thursday. Based on this latest run, the bulk of the rain from Tropical Storm Debby’s remnants will arrive after midnight Friday and will continue throughout the day. Use the top left of the graph below for time reference.
Stay tuned for specific rainfall amounts. As of right now, it appears that a widespread 1 to 4 inches of rainfall is likely, with the potential for higher amounts in isolated locations.
