Cold conditions and lake effect snow will continue to be the big story for the next couple days! Below is a look at the current radar:
Today’s Weather Forecast: 6/10
Temperatures today will continue to be very cold with most locations in the 20s and lower 30s. Lake effect snow will continue across northwest Pennsylvania. Elsewhere, a mix of clouds and sunshine can be expected.
Saturday’s Weather Forecast: 6/10
Lake effect snow will continue across northwest Pennsylvania with temperatures generally in the 30s. A clipper system will be passing north of the state Saturday evening, allowing the potential for snow showers across far northern Pennsylvania.
Future Hi-Res NAM Radar Valid for 4:00 PM Saturday:
Lake effect snow will continue during the first half of the day Saturday. Another clipper system is expected to pass just north of the state later in the day Saturday and into the nighttime hours. This will allow for far northern Pennsylvania to experience a period of snow showers Saturday evening.
Outside of the lake effect snow belts in northwest Pennsylvania, accumulations are expected to remain on the lighter side. However, another fresh coating of snow can be expected for many areas closer to the NY/PA border.
Sunday’s Weather: 10/10
Sunday’s weather is expected be gorgeous. Temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s across the state with plenty of sunshine. Given the bone-chilling cold temperatures we are currently dealing with, 40s and 50s will feel like a major warm up.
