Very cold weather is in the forecast for the region with negative wind chill values and chances for flurries and snow showers through mid-week.
Tuesday
Mostly cloudy with a chance for snow showers in the morning and afternoon hours. Temperatures will be cold with highs in the upper to mid-teens, and lows near the upper to mid-single digits. Winds will be west at 10 to 15 mph with wind gusts approaching 30 mph, higher elevations can experience winds between 15 to 20 mph with gusts approaching 35 mph. Wind chill values will range from -5 to – 10.
Wednesday
Mostly cloudy with a chance for isolated snow showers and flurries. Highs will be in the low 20 to mid-teens, lows will be in the upper to mid-single digits. Winds will be out of the west at 9 to 15 mph, with wind gusts between 25 to 30 mph. Wind chill values could range from 0 to -10.
Thursday
Mostly cloudy with afternoon snow showers. Highs will be in the mid to low 20s. Winds will be out of the west-southwest at 7 to 10 mph, with wind gusts approaching 20 mph.
