Low pressure will bring a transition to both temperature and weather conditions to the area. Models are trending for accumulating snowfall beginning on Thursday and continuing into the weekend. PA Weather Action will continue to monitor the situation and provide updated statewide forecasts on the likelihood for snow fall and potential accumulation amounts.
Tuesday
Partly sunny conditions will begin to transition to cloudy conditions with the potential for showers in the late afternoon and evening hours. Above average temperatures are expected with highs ranging in the mid to low 60s, lows will be in the upper 40s. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday
Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers expected in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will continue to be above average but will begin to drop overnight. Highs will be in the mid to low 60s, lows will be in the low 30s. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday
Much cooler temperatures are expected along with gusty winds and snow showers. Highs will be in the low 40s to mid 30s, lows will be in the low 30s. Winds will be out of the southwest at 7 to 14 mph, wind gusts could approach 25 mph throughout the region. Accumulating snowfall is possible throughout the region, especially in the higher elevations.
Measurable snowfall is possible throughout most of the region at some point between Thursday through Saturday, with impactful snowfall possible in the higher elevations.
