Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS is visible in the western sky for about 2 hours after sunset, but unfortunately is struggling against the residual twilight and the bright full supermoon, so it is a bit of a challenge to see. This is an image of the comet taken from the southern part of our area Wednesday evening:
Temperatures fell into the 20s in many locations Wednesday night, resulting in the first hard-freeze. Milder weather is on the way although temperatures could still fall into the 30s during the overnights.
The Plains and the East will be dominated by a large sprawling upper-level ridge into next week, providing an extended stretch of above-normal temperatures, blazing sunshine, and dry conditions that will persist into much of next week.
FRIDAY
Morning temperatures will start in the 30s with many places experiencing frost. The rest of the day will feature blazing sun and mild weather. Enjoy!
SATURDAY
Saturday will also feature blazing sunshine, with some of the valley locations climbing to 70!
SUNDAY
Sunday will be a warmer version of Saturday, with the warmer valley locations reaching into the 70s!
