We hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! This week is kicking off with another threat for isolated thunderstorms. Below is a look at the current radar:
Today’s Weather Forecast: 8/10
Today will be hot for many areas with temperatures ranging from the 80s to middle 90s. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, however most backyards will remain dry.
Tuesday’s Weather Forecast: 7/10
More isolated thunderstorms are possible Tuesday. A wide range in temperatures is expected. 70s across northern counties and near 90 agrees across the southern counties.
Hi-Res NAM Future Radar Through Early Wednesday Morning:
Looking at the future Hi-Res NAM radar, it paints a picture suggesting the best chance of widespread thunderstorms will arrive Tuesday evening and extend into the early morning hours Wednesday. Use the top left of the graphic below for time reference:
Wednesday’s Weather Forecast: 8/10
The showers and thunderstorms Tuesday evening into the early morning hours Wednesday will help drastically cool down everywhere across the state during the day Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the 70s with hit or miss showers and thunderstorms.
Hurricane Debby Update:
All eyes are currently on Hurricane Debby. Below is a look at the National Hurricane Center’s projected rain totals through the end of the week for areas across the southeast:
Widespread rainfall totals over a foot of rain and in some cases near 20 inches of rain is expected over the next several days. This will cause massive flooding across the southeast. The exact storm track Debby takes later in the week, will have direct impacts on how much rain our state receives. We will have many more updates on Hurricane Debby throughout the week. Stay tuned!
