On Monday, June 13, NRG hosted its 7th Annual Media Charity Flag Football Game. Over 20 members of the media, along with members of each nonprofit, took part to help raise $36,000 for NRG’s four original Choose to Give partners. This year marks the 5th Anniversary of the Choose to Give program. That program allows NRG customers to choose energy plans that benefit one of four nonprofits. When customers sign up, NRG makes a $50 contribution to the nonprofit and then makes an ongoing 1% contribution of the supply portion of the customer’s bill for each year they remain a customer. The program has expanded to seven nonprofits. As of June 2022, NRG has contributed more than $6 million to its Choose to Give partners.
