Ophelia unleashed a torrent of rain upon much of the region this weekend, with a radar-estimated amount of 4″-5″ over a large area in the Hawley-Milford area!  Those of you in Bradford county area had significantly less, with around an inch.  Ophelia’s lingering effects will cause dreary conditions and light precipitation to persist across the area into Tuesday.   Those yearning for more-crisp Autumn weather will appreciate the surface high pushing southward from Canada to provide dry conditions and near-normal temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday.

TUESDAY

Ophelia’s lingering effects will cause dreary conditions and light precipitation to persist across the area much of the day.  Those yearning for the crisp autumn days will have to wait for a surface high over Quebec to push southward.   Another quarter to a third of an inch of rain is possible across the Wyoming Valley and southern Poconos, with less than a tenth of an inch near the PA/NY border.

WEDNESDAY

The surface high from Quebec will push into our area and finally bring dry conditions, sunshine, and near-normal temperatures.

THURSDAY

We will still be under the influence of that Canadian surface high to enjoy another day of dry conditions and near-normal temperatures.
