It is becoming clear, thanks to all the photos from those in northern PA where foliage colors are peaking, that the 2020 Fall Foliage Season will be the best in several years. We had the optimal conditions of warm days and cold nights, with mainly dry conditions. And going forward, we will continue to have those conditions. The recent rainfall will help extend the foliage season slightly longer.

Higher elevations in central and northern Pennsylvania have reached peak color, while lower elevations in the same region still have some time until peak color. PA FALL FOLIAGE REPORT WEEK #2 OCT 1-7, 2020

Area A: This region is seeing best color now, and about 80% of tree species have changed color. Peak color is this week in this area.

Area B: This region is approaching best color, and about 50% of tree species have changed color. Peak color is in approximately one week in this area.

Area C: This region is starting to see some changes in color, and about 25% of tree species have changed color. Peak color is approximately two to three weeks away in this away.
