Hot and humid conditions will continue into Saturday before a cold front brings scattered showers and cooler temperatures to end the weekend.
Friday
Mostly sunny and hot for most of the region, chances for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Highs will range from the low 90s to mid 80s for the majority of the region with heat indices approaching 100 degrees in some areas, highs in the higher elevations will be in the upper 70s. Lows will be in the low 70s to mid 60s. Winds will be out of the southeast at 7 to 9 mph.
Saturday
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected on Saturday, rain chances will increase in the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will be in the mid to low 80s, lows will range in the 60s. Winds will be out of the south-southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
Rainfall totals throughout the region will mostly range between 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.
Sunday
Mostly sunny. Highs will range in the mid 80s to mid 70s, lows will be in the high to mid 50s.
