After yesterday produced some thunderstorm activity throughout the state, a more wide-spread thunderstorm threat is expected today. Below is a look at the current radar:

Scattered strong thunderstorms are likely today, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. These thunderstorms will have the potential to produce damaging winds and heavy downpours. High temperatures today will generally be in the 80s.

The general consensus today suggests that the best chance for thunderstorm activity will be during the afternoon and evening hours. Looking at the future radar below, the Hi-Res NAM model shows a potent line of storms developing this afternoon. Use the top left of the graphic for time reference:
Wednesday’s Weather Forecast: 8/10
Wednesday will offer the threat for thunderstorms as well, however these storms will be much more isolated. Temperatures will be warmer with many areas reaching the upper 80s and lower 90s.
Thursday’s Weather Forecast: 7/10
Thursday’s forecast mainly receives only a 7 because temperatures will be hot. Most areas will reach 90 degrees, with locations across southeastern Pennsylvania reaching the middle 90s. Isolated thunderstorms are possible.
