A strong low-pressure system and cold front will pass through the region mid-week bringing the chance for thunderstorms, a drop in temperature, and chances for snow later in the week.
Tuesday
High pressure will bring dry, partly sunny conditions and warmer temperatures. Highs will be the low 60s to mid 50s, lows will be ranging in the 40s. Winds will be out of the South at 5-10 mph, wind gusts approaching 20 mph are possible in the higher altitudes.
Wednesday
Rain will move into the region beginning in the overnight hours and will continue throughout the day, chances for thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon hours. As temperatures drop in the evening and overnight hours rain will begin to transition to snow. Highs will be in the low 60s to mid 50s, lows will be in the low 30s. Gusty conditions are possible, especially in thunderstorms, winds will be out of the southeast to begin the day, transitioning to a south-southwest direction throughout the day at 8-18 mph, 30+ mph wind gusts are possible.
Thursday
Colder temperatures with chances for snow showers and wintery mix possible. Highs will be in the mid to low 30s, lows will be in the high to mid 20s. Breezy conditions are expected to continue with winds out of the West-Northwest at 13-20 mph, wind gusts as high as 35 mph are possible in some areas.
