Good afternoon, everyone! I hope you all had a great week and enjoyed the warm and sunny conditions as we close out the Summer 2023 season. Fall officially begins Saturday morning with the fall solstice occurring at 1:50am. Friday continues to be beautiful, and changes can be expected as we move into the weekend as a coastal low-pressure system moves up the East Coast.
Friday
As Summer comes to a close, we will celebrate it with close to perfect weather conditions. Mostly sunny skies with temperatures spanning from the mid to low 70’s can be expected throughout the region. Temperatures will fall during the overnight hours into the mid to low 50’s, with cooler temperatures expected in the higher elevations. Chances for rain will begin in the early morning hours, especially in the eastern portions of the region.
Saturday
Chances for rain will increase throughout the day, and the remainder of the weekend. Rainy and windy conditions will be more favorable for the eastern portions of the region as outer bands of the tropical low move along the Northeastern coast. Cooler temperatures are expected with high temperatures ranging from the low 70’s to low 60’s. Winds could be gusty at times, with some gusts being over 20 mph.
Sunday
Slight chances for rain will continue to be possible for the eastern portions of the region on Sunday. Average fall temperatures will be expected with partly sunny skies in the west.
