A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for Cambria County from midnight to 11am Tuesday, February 13th. A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect for Somerset County from 10pm Monday until 11am Tuesday Morning. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for Indiana County, and portions of Westmoreland, and Fayette Counties from midnight to 10 am Tuesday morning.

Tuesday

A low-pressure system will pass over the region Monday night into Tuesday. Portions of the region will see rain and snow showers throughout the day while some areas will see mainly snow. Easten portions of the region are expected to see measurable snow accumulations in comparison to western portions of the region. Temperatures will decrease throughout the day; highs will range between 40 and 30 degrees. Winds will be out of the north-northwest at 10 to 15 mph, wind gusts to the east could be over 30 mph. Lows will be in the mid to low 20s.

Wednesday

A less active day is expected on Wednesday. A lingering snow shower in the morning hours will transition to mostly sunny skies in the afternoon hours. Highs will be high to mid 30s. Winds will be out of the west-northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Higher elevations could see higher, gustier wind conditions. Lows will be in the mid to low 20s.

Thursday

Rain and Snow showers will return on Thursday. Highs will be in mid to low 40s. Windy conditions are expected in the afternoon and overnight hours. Winds will be out of the West-Southwest at 15 to 20mph, with gusts ranging from 35 to 40mph, especially in the higher elevations. Lows will be low 30s to mid 20s.
