Clouds are on the increase this morning ahead of our next storm system that will be bringing rain and snow to the state late tonight into Thanksgiving morning. Below is a look at the latest radar: 

Today’s Weather Forecast: 7/10

Temperatures today will range in the 40s to low 50s across the state. Rain and snow showers will be on the increase late tonight across western Pennsylvania ahead of our next storm system. 

Thanksgiving’s Weather Forecast: 3/10

A storm system will be bringing with it significant rain for the southern half of the state and accumulating snow for the northern half of state during the first half of day Thanksgiving. Temperatures will range from the 30s to the 40s for highs.

Below is a look at the Hi-Res NAM Future Radar Valid for 5:00 AM Thanksgiving morning illustrating very well which areas will see snow versus rain. Please plan on significant travel disruptions if you plan on travel during the morning hours, especially north of interstate 80, where several inches of snow is possible. 

Friday’s Weather Forecast: 6/10

Behind the storm system, temperatures will be on the decrease, while the winds will be on the increase. Lake effect snow will begin to take place Friday. Areas near Lake Erie that are prone to Lake effect snow will likely see significant accumulations through the weekend.
