A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for Lawrence, Butler, Armstrong, Indiana, Beaver, Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties from 1 am to noon on Tuesday. Freezing rain is the potential primary hazard within the advisory areas. Where freezing rain does fall hazardous road conditions can be expected.
Tuesday
Freezing Rain is a possible throughout the region during the overnight and morning hours on Tuesday. While the greatest confidence for freezing rain is expected north of I-80, temperatures will be cold enough for the possibility of freezing rain where precipitation falls. Freezing rain will begin to transition to rain showers, as temperatures begin to increase in the late morning hours. Rain will continue to fall throughout the day. Highs will be in the low 40s. Winds will be out of the southwest at 3 to 8 mph. Lows will be in the mid 30s.
Wednesday
Rain can be expected throughout the region. Highs will range between the low 50s and low 40s. Winds will be out of the south-southwest at 6 to 8 mph. Lows will be in the mid to low 40s.
Rainfall totals will range between a half to three quarters of an inch through Wednesday.
Thursday
Rain will continue to fall as temperatures continue to rise throughout the region. Highs will be high to mid 50s. Lows will be in the high 40s.
Total precipitation values are expected significantly increase on Thursday.
