FINAL CALL SNOWFALL FORECAST POSTED, CLICK PREVIEW BELOW:

Snowfall Amounts Increased Across Pennsylvania in Final Call Forecast for Tonight’s Snowstorm

After starting the week with heavy, wet snow in Eastern and Central PA, we will end the week with fluffy snow in many of the same areas. Each winter season, there tends to be an area of the Northeast US that does consistently better in terms of snow than everyone else. This season, it’s clear that area is South Central PA into much of Eastern PA. Those regions are really the only places in the Eastern US that are having an average snow year!

This incoming storm has trended a little stronger and north, which has benefited the southern half of PA. Although many of you may not consider more snow to be a benefit! Snow will push in from west to east Friday evening into very early Saturday morning, and exit from west to east early to mid Saturday morning. Immediately following the storm, gusty WNW winds will ensue with lake effect snow squalls floating around the state. Blowing and drifting snow may be an issue in Southern PA on Saturday!

STORM TIME TABLES

As mentioned, scattered snow squalls are then likely all of Saturday particularly in Northern and Western Pennsylvania.
